Office Properties

The Hathaway Building

Located in the highly desirable Seattle Sub Market of Georgetown, Puget Properties acquired this office asset in 2015. The Hathaway Building was previously a single tenant building which housed the jewelry company Simon Golub and Sons who at the time were downsizing. Upon the previous owners vacating the building, Puget Properties set about a complete gut and revamp of this entire 40,000 square foot building. Built in the early 80’s all finishes, offices and 40,000 square feet of out dated ceiling tile were removed to make way for a more contemporary fit and finish. Starting with the common areas, we added beautiful Indian Slate for all main floor common halls and stairways, custom finishes in all bathrooms, a beautiful new steel and slate staircase and updated lighting, electrical and HVAC throughout. All tenant spaces feature 13’ ceilings, exposed duct work and private kitchens with stainless steel appliances. All TI work was performed in house and the quality shows tremendous pride of ownership. We disposed of this asset 3 years later setting a record for highest price paid per square foot in Georgetown.

Westlake

Located at 1606 8th Ave N, Seattle, 98109, this approx. 3,000 sqft building was originally home to Dorse & Company. After purchasing the building and adjacent parking lot, the exterior was re-envisioned from a very dated NW shingle siding look to a much more contemporary “rain screen” modern facade. The building features unobstructed views of Lake Union and great access to South Lake Union businesses and restaurants. After acquisition, the building was remodeled and subsequently leased to the developer Intracorp and was home to the main leasing office and showroom for the fantastically popular Domaine apartment community. Other tenants included the Architecture firm PB Elemental. Massing studies were done for a 7 story condominium building, however to fully take advantage of the location and size needed for parking and circulation, the neighboring corner was needed and acquisition efforts were not successful.
